After saving Mercy Raintree from an assassin, Judah Ansara, dranir of the Ansara clan, is attracted to his sworn enemy years after their brief affair ended. Mercy, having given birth to his child after their affair, fears for her daughter Eve's life should Judah find out she's his child, since the Ansara clan has a law that says any child born of both families must
be killed. She underestimates Judah, though, and quickly finds that he will
do anything to protect Eve. Beverly Barton's Raintree: Sanctuary (4.5) is a gripping end to the story of the three Raintree siblings. It's exceptionally well written, and the story will keep readers on the edge of their seats.
