Book four in Christie’s Green series highlights the value of friends, family and community, especially in times of crisis. Green is a town full of characters readers won’t mind revisiting again and again. If you like Mitford-type stories by Jan Karon you’ll love the town of Green.

Still reeling from the devastation left behind by the deadly tornado, the townspeople of Green try to rebuild their lives, only to be dealt another debilitating blow. A group of bureaucrats wants to shut down the town’s schools and ship the students to other jurisdictions. But the town isn’t going to lie down and play dead while some stuffed shirts try to steamroll over them. Can the town of Green survive the new storm blowing through?
