THE RANCHER

RT Rating

THE RANCHER (4.5) by Diana Palmer: In the worst drought Texas has seen in decades, novice rancher Maddie Lane has no choice but to turn to her neighbor for help, even if he’s her nemesis — and the man she’s long had feelings for, even knowing he loves someone else. Cort Brannt reluctantly aids Maddie, who he’s always considered a nuisance, but suddenly he’s seeing her in a sensual new way. When Cort’s supposed “love” arrives on the scene, things get interesting for all of them. Palmer’s western romance mixes humor and drama perfectly in an excellent romance that doesn’t need explicit scenes for a satisfying happy ever after.
