A RANCHER’S BRAND OF JUSTICE
A RANCHER’S BRAND OF JUSTICE (4) by Ann Voss Peterson: All rancher Nick Raymond wants is to get his son back and keep him safe. Investigator Melissa Anderson wants the same thing, but she also needs Nick to testify about the shooting he witnessed, a shooting that caused the death of her mentor. Protective custody isn’t an option for Nick, but as the attacks escalate against his 2-year-old son and his ranch is nearly burned down, he knows that the only way to be safe is to get to the bottom of the mystery of his ex-wife’s murder — and to keep Melissa alive. This is an excellent mystery, peppered with red herrings and false leads.
