THE RANCHER'S DOORSTEP BABY
Since her father's death, Rachel Hewitt has been running the family ranch. Lately, she's had cowboy Cole Parrish's help, but he's planning to move on. Then Rachel learns that her long-lost sister has been killed in a car wreck and left behind a baby girl. Cole agrees to stay and help until Rachel gets the baby settled and finds his replacement. There's an attraction between them, but is it strong enough to make Cole forget his past and let himself love Rachel? Patricia Thayer's The Rancher's Doorstep Baby (2) carries some emotional impact, but it's blunted by the tired premise and stock characters.
