Book Review

A RANDALL HERO
by Judy Christenberry

Genre: Series, Harlequin American Romance, Current Series Imprints

RT Rating

Lucy is stranded -- literally. She's on the run from her abusive husband, eight months pregnant with no where to go and, to top it off, her car breaks down. She has trouble trusting the motives of the Good Samaritan who stops to help her, but it turns out that John's sister is married to Lucy's brother! John stays by Lucy's side
as she delivers, then moves mother and daughter to his ranch until their siblings
get back from their honeymoon. As Lucy works to be independent, John waits for her to heal emotionally and fall in love
with him. A Randall Hero (3), by Judy Christenberry, is a good book, but only barely plausible at times. The story's saving grace is the way the author deftly crafts a believable -- and frightening -- villain.
