Book Review

by Amy Wallace

Genre: Inspirational, Romantic Suspense

RT Rating

Filled with action and just the right amount of romance, Wallace's novel will keep readers in its grip until the explosive ending. Readers will be able to relate to Gracie's vulnerable, real character. Her struggles to reconcile life's circumstances with her faith are very relevant. The identity of the villain is revealed too early, but the plot flows quickly and the interesting secondary storylines fit well.

Gracie's life was shattered when her husband and children were killed in a horrible accident. She has been searching for the truth about what happened for years. But someone wants to keep her in the dark -- the person responsible stands to lose too much if Gracie discovers his identity.
Teaching at a private school, Gracie meets FBI special agent Steven Kessler, who is investigating the disappearance of a British ambassador's daughter. Can he help Gracie with her quest? Can they pursue more than a business relationship? (MULTNOMAH, Apr., 320 pp., $12.99)
