In the third in Dacus’ Ransome trilogy, the author whisks readers to the 1800s in a well-researched story of adventure, love, faith and pirates! Lots of wonderful swashbuckling adventures are featured. Bringing favorite characters to their conclusion has never been more satisfying.

Charlotte Ransome has been kidnapped by the famed pirate, El Salvador. Unfortunately for El Salvador, Charlotte’s brother is a decorated military man, and is known for his endless determination and bravery in battle — and he’s looking for Charlotte. When El Salvador hears a rumor that the brutal and bloodthirsty pirate known as Shaw has Charlotte’s sister-in-law, Julia, the adventure takes a new turn. And when William Ransome learns his sister and his wife have both been kidnapped, he’ll stop at nothing to rescue the women he loves. (HARVEST HOUSE, Aug., 320 pp., $13.99)
