African wildlife park ranger Wynne Sperling is on the trail of a huge poaching operation when she meets Jack MacKay, an ex-Navy SEAL in Africa to go on a safari with the company she suspects is killing animals and selling the meat. Although she disapproves of his trip, she finds herself attracted to MacKay. Fortunately, he isn't who or what he seems. Connie Hall's Rare Breed (4) has an interesting plot and an engaging story. The amount of research that went into the book is apparent in the author's rich detail and knowledge of native African tribes. A truly enjoyable read.
