RAWHIDE RANGER (4.5) by Rita Herron: Sgt. Cade Navarro of the Texas Rangers is supposed to bridge the gap between his people and the townsfolk of Comanche Creek -- as well as help tie up a murder investigation. But everything is complicated by the presence of Jessie Becker, the daughter of the prime suspect. She believes her father is innocent, but proving it is going to be a tough job, especially with her instant attraction to the sexy Ranger -- and the fact that somebody is trying to kill her. The last entry in the Silver Star of Texas series ties up all the loose ends in a spectacular manner. Herron's tale is loaded with possible suspects, romance and touches of the paranormal.
