Discovering that his meddling mother and sister are planning to use a love potion on him is the last straw, as far as businessman Mason Alexander is concerned.

Alexander Industries desperately needs an influx of capital in order to launch a revolutionary new power cell. Caroline Wickersham and her fathers money will fit that bill nicely. Caroline and Mason have been working up to a business/wedding merger. Tish and Miranda lace Caroline and Masons iced tea with a love potionbut landscaper Raine Hobart downs the concoction instead of Caroline.

To teach his family a lesson, Mason convinces a cash-strapped Raine to pretend to be smitten with him. Tish and Miranda are horrified to find out that the potion has made Mason and Raine fall in love.

Despite coming from vastly different backgrounds, Raine and Mason find themselves quite compatible. Besides her landscaping and sculpture work, Raine tries to prevent MMT Properties from construction that will destroy downtown Fremont Street. Raine soon discovers that Alexanders company is the force behind MMT Properties.
