REAL MEN WEAR PLAID! (4) by Rhonda Nelson: Scotland is the setting for this fun trio of stories about the ruggedly handsome MacKinnon brothers. In “The Wanderer,” Gemma Wentworth sets off on the West Highland Way, a 95-mile rite of passage for the women in her family, and crosses paths with Ewan MacKinnon, on his own journey of self-discovery. In “The Warrior,” Summer Davies takes part in a murder-mystery party at the family castle of Cam MacKinnon, whose attraction to Summer conflicts with his “no fraternization” policy. And in “The Wayfarer,” Isla Drummond is on a visit to her father, a master boat builder, when she meets her father’s apprentice, Alec MacKinnon, who sets his sights on her. Although only one of the brothers actually wears a kilt in the book, they’re all “real men.”
