RECONCILABLE DIFFERENCES (4) by Elizabeth Ashtree: When Gwen Haverty, a lawyer from the State Attorney’s office, agrees to work with defense attorney Aaron Zimmerman to free a wrongly convicted man from prison, she decides she likes Aaron much more than she initially believed. Unfortunately, Gwen’s ex-husband’s decision to seek full custody of their son, which puts stress on Gwen and Aaron’s budding relationship — as does Aaron’s guilt over another freed client who went on to rape and murder a young girl. Ashtree demonstrates a knack for skillful dialogue and clever plotting that will captivate readers.
