Widow Simone Burke turns to club owner Gideon for help to clear her of a murder charge. Only she knows that he used to be Joey Ruscetti, her teenage love and the man whose testimony put her father in prison. Patricia Rosemoor's Red Carpet Christmas (2) suffers from an uneven storyline and poor character development. While the secondary characters are appealing and intriguing, Simone and Gideon are difficult to visualize as teen lovers separated by feuding families and their reconciliation feels contrived.
