Smith’s newest novel featuring unlucky horse trainer Patty O’Dell is a wild ride. While fans will love visiting with old friends, new readers will still be entertained, though they might be slightly confused by references to previous adventures. They will all be riveted by O’Dell’s strength and determination. Kidnapped and alone, Patty O’Dell is determined to get home and escape Mick Jarrett and his band of con men. Forced by Mick to participate in a con along the Great Barrier Reef, Patty is drawn into an even more sinister realm when Mick’s old boss calls him back to the fold.
