Book Review

A RELUCTANT COURTSHIP
by Laurie Alice Eakes

Genre: Inspirational, Historical Romance

RT Rating

The final book in the Daughters of Bainbridge House series has romance, spies, secrets and surprises. The trilogy wraps up nicely, not only reuniting readers with series characters, but introducing more who are delightful and full of dry wit. Eakes brings to life England in the 1800s with amazing historical details. Fans of historical England will love the whole series.

Honore Bainbridge knows she is somewhat of a wild child. She wants more out of life than teas and doing her stitching, but her family has taken her to their country estate with not much else for her to do there. She accidentally meets Lord Ashmoor and believes he is the one for her. Lord Ashmoor is looking for a wife who is pure in spirit and body to prove the public wrong in its assumption that he is a traitor; therefore, Honore is not high on his list. Honore wants to be near him, so she’s more than happy to help him prove his innocence. Can Lord Ashmoor see past Honore’s previous actions and realize she is the one for him?
