REMEMBERING THAT NIGHT (4) by Stephanie Doyle: Former psychologist and lying expert Greg Chalmers believes the woman found covered in blood is telling the truth about her amnesia. But when the police figure out that she’s CPA Eliza Dunning, who was working for her mob boss former guardian at his casino in Atlantic City when he was murdered, Greg realizes there’s more to her than either he or the police know. He helps Eliza recover her memory while helping the police keep her safe from whoever killed her guardian. A fast-paced plot and good characterization make Remembering That Night an easy read. Doyle’s story progresses smoothly, and her skill at keeping the bad guy under wraps until the end makes for a satisfying conclusion. The attraction between Greg and Eliza is also quite well drawn.
