Fans of Sands' vampire romances will be pleased with Nicholas' greatly anticipated story. With humor and angst, she once again creates a marvelous hero, matches him with a strong and interesting heroine and weaves a highly entertaining tale. This book will keep readers' interest from beginning to end.

Purported rogue Nicholas Argeneau's rescue of Josephine Willan gets him locked up, awaiting judgment by Lucian and the council. Jo's discovery that her memories have been tampered with makes her determined to free Nicholas. When Lucian hears that not only has Jo helped Nicholas escape but that she's also his life mate, he decides to use her as bait to capture him again. But when the immortals assigned to protect her don't do such a good job and she's again rescued by Nicholas, Jo vows to stay with him this time and find out what really happened to get him labeled a rogue.
