Book Review

RESERVED FOR THE CAT
by Mercedes Lackey

Genre: Fantasy, General Fantasy

RT Rating

This most recent entry in Lackey's Elemental Masters series is a nicely paced, pleasant read. Nina's a sympathetic protagonist readers will root for, and the story holds together fairly well, despite a number of events that seem almost too improbable to be possible.

Ballet dancer Ninette
Dupond is without a job or prospects. Filling in for the ballet's incapacitated star, she receives rave reviews and
is unceremoniously fired. Luckily, she has a guardian angel, or rather, a guardian cat.

Thomas has been watching over Ninette her entire life, and he proposes she relocate to England, where she will impersonate a Russian ballerina and become a star. What Ninette doesn't know is that she may be heading straight toward danger. (DAW, Nov.,
