An alternate world in current times comes alive with sword fights, a highly technical mind poison, twists and untrustworthy allies in the latest installment of the Sword of Lyric series. Hinck has created wonderful characters, amazing detail and a great story. Susan and Mark are once again thrown into the alternate universe of Lyric and Hazor. This time they must find their son, Jake, and the person who took him. They aren't sure who to trust and must proceed with caution. Kieran has been cast out by people he trusted, so he flees to Lyric's enemy, Hazor. Naturally rebellious, he would rather cross swords with the One than submit to his will. But the new restorer, along with Susan and Mark, will learn the One requires you give of yourself totally, even if means giving your life to fulfill his will.
