There’s nothing like a healthy dose of drama to keep readers on their toes. Underneath the deception, gossip and bad decisions lies a storyline that any reader will be able to relate to. The author paints an interesting story with an accurate view of what goes on within the family behind the pulpit.

Reverend Curtis Black and his wife Charlotte have had their share of indiscretions, but the reverend has finally decided to leave her for good. Preparing to become a divorced man for the third time, the reverend splits his time between fulfilling the needs of his 2,000-member church and being a good father to his three children. However, Charlotte will not go away quietly and is determined to keep her marriage intact. (GRAND CENTRAL, May, 336 pp., $24.99)
