The Clan is fighting a losing battle for survival; if only they knew it. Already attacked and torn apart by opponents within the feudal system of their own world, their extra-dimensional operations of our world have been discovered, and they are now viewed as international terrorists.

The Clan must re-organize to face the threat on their own home front and try to avert a nuclear face-off with the U.S. government at the same time. Miriam is caught between both worlds, and it remains to be seen whether she will find an opportunity to truly lead or become a cat's paw for the political maneuvers of ambitious Clan rulers.
