A nice little whodunit with likable characters is the best way to describe this read. While the mystery will keep you guessing and a love interest is thrown in, the story bogs down in places with too much space between action scenes.

Firefighter Reyn Erikson returns home to the small Louisiana town he left in shame years after his mother died in a suspicious fire. Calling him back is Olivia Crenshaw, whose late father was the town sheriff. Olivia has proof her father suspected the death of Reyn’s mother was not an accident. As Reyn and Olivia investigate the case, threats and trouble follow them at every turn. They soon can’t fight their attraction to each other, but hope to find answers before the killer strikes again.
