The opening of Brown’s Pacific Blue series is a must-read for the summer and a sheer delight from start to finish. Brown does a sensational job of getting to the very heart of her main couple, discovering what truly drives and inspires them. Their chemistry is positively blistering, but what makes this romance unforgettable is the way they challenge and balance each other. With a colorful supporting cast and a stunning backdrop of sun, sand and surf, this romance makes the most of every single moment.

Tanner Wright hasn’t been back to California in nearly a decade — ever since he learned the truth about his father’s infidelity. But with a world championship on the line, he has no choice but to head back home. Avalon Knox could never understand how her best friend’s older brother could simply leave his family and has spent years resenting him for it. But when she’s offered the professional chance of a lifetime — to photograph Tanner throughout the competition — she’s willing to get close to him again, and an unexpected, searing passion flares between them while they work together.
