A fitting conclusion to Armstrong’s Darkness Rising trilogy. The stakes are amplified now that Maya is on the run, with a catastrophic skin allergy to boot. The action never stops, and characters continue to not always be exactly who they seem (literally and metaphorically).

On the run from the nefarious St. Cloud organization, Maya and her friends will do whatever it takes to get back home to their families — who now believe them to be dead. Along the way they meet a boy with a strong tie to Maya’s past. Maya’s having increasingly more trouble controlling her animalistic instincts and fears the cat within her will take over for good.
