Wanting to follow in the footsteps of her famed courtesan mother, Marietta Greentree must abide by certain rules
to prove herself capable of running the business and seducing the recently
disinherited Lord Roseby, Max Valland.

Injured in an attack and taken to the club to recuperate, Max finds himself saddled with Marietta as a nursemaid and
a possible lover after she explains that she's going to "practice" her wiles on him. Max also has another problem: trying to regain his title, fortune and place in society.

Though she wants independence, Marietta soon finds herself drawn into Max's arms and the dangerous web that surrounds him. But more dangerous is how easily she can forget the rules of passion when his kisses tempt her to follow her heart.

Sensual and captivating, Bennett's novel is pure pleasure. She creates a charming pair, caught by both love and danger, then sprinkles their romance with the ideal amount of humor. One can hardly wait to see what she'll create for the third Greentree sister. SENSUAL (Oct., 380 pp., $5.99)
