Book Review

RUNAWAY
by Bobbi Smith

Genre: Historical Romance
Sensuality: HOT
Setting: 1800s Texas

RT Rating

In Smith's exciting western, two wrongs do make a right. Continuous action, authentic dialogue and gripping tension ensnare the reader, which is good since Smith takes a bit too long to introduce her cast of thousands and set up the background.

Texas Ranger Lane Madison goes undercover to catch a gang of train robbers. He's impersonating one of the ringleaders when his mail-order bride arrives. Lane is not prepared for the innocent beauty, much less the sizzling attraction between them.

Destiny Sterling is an heiress on the run. She's terrified of the future until she meets her gentle husband. Their new identities give them the freedom
to follow their hearts, until harsh reality stampedes their newfound dreams. Suddenly, the newlyweds are faced with desperate outlaws and vengeful villains. Only together can they conquer their pasts and claim their future. (LEISURE, Jul., 280 pp., $7.99)
