THE RUNAWAY AND THE CATTLEMAN
by Lilian Darcy

Genre: Series

RT Rating

Even after appearing in a magazine feature called "Wild Hearts," widower Callan Woods doesn't expect to meet anyone. So writer Jacinda Beale is a pleasant surprise, and, after e-mailing for a while, Callan lets Jac and her daughter take refuge from her controlling ex-husband on his cattle station. Jac's vulnerable, reason enough for Callan to keep clear, even if he didn't have a problem getting physical since his wife's death. Lilian Darcy begins Wanted: Outback Wives with The Runaway and the Cattleman (4). Though the story has
an old-fashioned feel, its take on the
tough-guy Aussie heroes of the past
is refreshingly modern.
