Deputy Chief of Police Angie Carter knows she shouldn't get involved with Tony Rivers. He's her best friend, he's
her junior by 10 years and he technically works for her, since he's also a cop. But the attraction between them has been building for ages, and they just can't fight it any longer. When Tony's niece witnesses a murder and they must work together to protect her, the tension between them escalates. The Runaway Daughter (3), by Anna DeStefano, has an interesting, if somewhat predictable, plot. The age-reversal romance between an older woman and a younger man is a nice, modern twist.
