Y’Barbo’s third installation in the Secret Lives of Will Tucker is the best in the series thus far. The author’s genteel southern style makes the reading easy and smooth. Readers will get totally immersed in the characters’ adventures, and they won’t realize how swept away they are until it ends all too soon.
Sarah Louise “Sadie” Callum has a secret life: She’s an undercover agent for the Pinkerton Agency. Her latest assignment is to fix the mess made by undercover agent Will Tucker’s twin brother, who escaped prison by setting up his brother. Will is dependent on Sadie’s connections with high society to clear his name, and he’s inexplicably drawn to the intelligent and beautiful woman. Sadie must also solve a mysterious art fraud case with life events, family and circumstance against her. (HARVEST HOUSE, Feb., 352 pp., $13.99)
