Claire Strickland illogically blames football coach Kieran McClintock for the death of her brother, who crashed his car on the way to an early morning practice. But when his attempt to comfort her turns into a night of passion, Kieran, The Saint (4), marries Claire to give their baby a name. Strong, believable emotions and a solid love story smooth out the bumps in Kathleen O'Brien's story of one of the men of the eccentric town of Heyday. A clever plot twist keeps the title character from being too good to be true.
