Santiago's passion helps unleash the passionate woman inside of Lily, and when he cruelly sends her away she is devastated. When they meet again, the pull between them is undeniable, but old misunderstandings and a pregnancy -- along with some deceptive "friends" -- stand in the way of their happiness. Can they overcome these obstacles and their own foolish pride to find happiness? In Santiago's Love-Child (3), by Kim Lawrence, Lily is a sympathetic and sweet heroine, and it's easy to empathize with her situation. Lawrence nicely depicts the desire that still exists beneath the surface for these ex-lovers.
