At the request of his dying godfather, tracker Royce Graham searches for Sarah Mars, not knowing who she is or the reason for his godfather's request. Is it coincidence that Royce finds Sarah and her son just as kidnappers are threatening them? Sarah doesn't think so, and she refuses to entrust her son's safety to the one man who can protect him—even as the kidnappers close in. SARAH'S SECRETS (1) by Lisa Childs has little plot and a bit too much shallow anguish. Sarah's lack of trust is melodramatic and Royce's conflict between desire for Sarah and his remoteness seems contrived.
