SAVING THE GIRL NEXT DOOR
Detective Piper Payne is suspended from the force after a computer hacker frames her for bribery. In desperation, she contacts her childhood crush, Jack Donovan, now a special ops agent with the Shey Group. As the two of them track down the criminal, the so-called witnesses turn up dead. SAVING THE GIRL NEXT DOOR (2) by Susan Kearney may disappoint readers. Piper is portrayed as a flirt trying to seduce Jack and is not very believable as a police officer, weakening the suspense in a plot that's already not very engaging.
