Image of Saving Grace

Known for her sweet and sensitive westerns, Davidson draws on a bit of inspirational romance for her latest tale of a preacher caught between love and vengeance. Though the story is predictable, her appealing characters are just what readers adore about her writing.

When Reverend Simon Grafton rescues Grace Benton from a vicious attack, he has no idea that his life is about to change. For her protection he brings Grace back to the parsonage and after two days he realizes this lovely, sweet and innocent young woman would make an ideal wife. Simon has been fighting a few demons of his own and understands Grace’s fears and need for love and a home of her own. Grace accepts Simon’s proposal. At first love is not a factor, but passion is soon a powerful part of their marriage. Yet, they have made a powerful enemy who is intent upon seeking revenge for Grace’s rejection. It is love and faith and the help of their friends and townsfolk that bring the villain to justice. (HARLEQUIN, Jun., 300 pp., $5.99)
