Carola Dunn whisks us off into love and excitement in SCANDAL'S DAUGHTER (3). After the death of her mother leaves her stranded in Istanbul, a young lady faced with the threat of life in a pasha's harem decides to take her chances fleeing with a rapscallion Englishman. And what an adventure this turns out to be, with pirates, bandits, soldiers and smugglers galore. Ms. Dunn's quick pace, smooth writing style and eye for piquant detail make this perfect escapist fare for the armchair traveler.
