Book Review

SCARLET
by Jordan Summers

Genre: Paranormal/Urban Fantasy, Urban Fantasy

RT Rating

Summers delivers rip-roaring ride through a post-apocalyptic world where vampires and werewolves are commonplace. Red is a feisty heroine who keeps kicking, despite the numerous cards stacked against her. Her alpha werewolf boyfriend Morgan is a wonderfully dark, brooding hero. His internal conflict tugs at the reader's heart and carries the action throughout the story.

Although she's never fully consciously changed, Gina "Red" Santiago is a werewolf. Working in the self-governing republic of Nuria at the sheriff
station, she needs to take over leadership when Morgan goes away on a mission. But forces within the station don't want her there and do everything to discredit Red, including endangering her life. (TOR PARANORMAL ROMANCE, Jun., 304 pp., $6.99)
