Lady Amira Sierra Corbin is sent as the Queen's emissary to find Marcus Cordello and discover if he is really the heir to the throne of Penwyck. An implausible plotline, which reads entirely like a soap opera, makes Karen Rose Smith's SEARCHING FOR HER PRINCE (2) a so-so read. The queen fears that her twin sons were kidnapped at birth and replaced by imposters. However, she does not take action for 30 years and then sends her lady-in-waiting to figure it out. The most aggravating aspect of this book is that the reader never finds out if Marcus is the rightful prince or not. Meanwhile, she's raised two boys that could be imposters, albeit innocent ones at that. Maybe the coming sequel featuring Marcus's twin brother will add credibility to this series.
