SEASON OF DANGER
SEASON OF DANGER (4) by Hannah Alexander & Jill Elizabeth Nelson: In Alexander’s “Silent Night, Deadly Night,” Tess Vance blames herself for her fiancé’s death and is fearful because the killer was never captured. When people at her family’s mission become sick, Tess wonders if there is a connection. Could it be a disgruntled patron seeking revenge or a jealous lover? In Nelson’s “Mistletoe Mayhem,” veterinarian Kelly Granger encounters a number of sick pets, and when residents begin to exhibit similar symptoms, health inspector Matt Bennett and Kelly recognize that the illnesses may be related. Both stories bear the important message that our words hold more power than we may realize, so choose them wisely.
