Arlene Evans has had nothing but trouble from her kids: Her son is lazy, one daughter is in an insane asylum
and now her pregnant youngest is missing. Could the girl have run off with her baby's father? Arlene turns to the new man in her life, Hank Monroe, for
help. Hank has retired from a secret government job to the small town of Whitehorse, Mont., and he and Arlene have begun dating. B.J. Daniels' Second Chance Cowboy (3) is an uneven mystery with likable characters. It feels like a visit to the old homestead.
