At 45, Laurel Mitchell loves her life. Her husband, Jason, is successful, still loves her and has the money to collect the toy trains he always loved. Their three grown sons are doing well, and Laurel works as a real-estate agent. But when she finds out she's pregnant, nothing is clear any more. Her husband is less than delighted, her college-age youngest son is embarrassed. Not to mention that her older son is marrying a young woman with a barracuda for a mother, and her sister is sad because her husband has left her and she'll never have children. Told with great humor, sympathetic touches and wonderful characters Marie Ferrarella's The Second Time Around (4) is a sympathetic look at a challenging time.
