Although this may look like another Fifty Shades rip-off, S.E.C.R.E.T. is a refreshing, well-written story about a woman falling in love with herself. Cassie’s journey from mousy and self-conscious to blazing-hot, confident sexual being will have you unleashing your own inner goddess. This book will resonate with readers who have felt insecure or unworthy when it comes to intimacy and will be highly enjoyed by mainstream readers looking for a little (or a lot of!) heat.
Thirty-something Cassie Robichaud is on her way to spinsterhood, working as a waitress in a New Orleans diner. Then, an intriguing older woman convinces Cassie to join a secret society that will help her rediscover her long-dormant sexuality. Suddenly, Cassie is indulging in her most erotic fantasies, from sex on a yacht with a stranger to a rendezvous with one of the city’s wealthiest bachelors. As she gets closer to completing the program, Cassie must decide if she wants a committed relationship, or to become a card-carrying member of S.E.C.R.E.T. (BROADWAY, Feb., 288 pp., $15.00)
