A SECRET IDENTITY
by Gayle Roper

Genre: Inspirational, Mainstream

RT Rating

In book two of the Amish Farm Trilogy, Roper provides her readers with a story filled with romance, family secrets and finding out who one really is. The characters are strong without being overbearing. Their strength lies in their strong faith in God and accepting what His plan is for each of them.

After her beloved grandfather’s death, Cara Bentley learns that he was adopted when he was a baby. She is shocked; if he really was not a Bentley by birth, that means she is not a Bentley and she needs to learn the truth of his birth. She returns to Lancaster County and turns to a local attorney for help.

Cara soon learns she and her questions about the adoption are not welcome in the Amish community. There are forces hampering her efforts, but she isn’t going to back down from her quest. (HARVEST HOUSE, Sep., 304 pp., $10.99)
