THE SECRET PRINCESS
THE SECRET PRINCESS (3) by Rachelle McCalla: Prince Luke of Lydia diligently seeks to find the beautiful woman who saved his life, which leads him into enemy territory. When he finds her, he learns that she believed him dead. Reduced to the role of slave in her grandfather King George’s household, Evelyn sends Luke away, fearing he will be captured. But Luke refuses to give up on Evelyn, which leads him — as well as Evelyn and her brother — into life-threatening situations. This addition to McCalla’s 9th century-set Protecting the Crown series is an entertaining story with plenty of action and a satisfying conclusion. However, the hero is difficult to like and some actions stretch belief to the breaking point.
