This is a stunning debut from Hubbard, who knocks it out of the park with a vivid tale. She's crafted Colt to feel exactly like a real guy -- so much so that it's hard to believe a woman created him. Younger readers may want to take note: There is adult content here, really only serving to make the plot feel more realistic. Pick this one up, you'll be glad you did. Amazing!

Julia Vernon is dead, killed in a car accident. Her rich friends and boyfriend -- from the wealthy part of town -- grieve openly, but Colt Morrissey, who'd been secretly seeing Julia for a year, must keep his grief and guilt to himself. When Julia's brother gives Colt her journal, full of letters to her secret lover, Colt gets an insight into the girl he loved and can't tell anyone about.
