Irish lass Shannon McKee's new start in London quickly goes downhill when she loses her waitressing job. Kane Lindley, a regular at the restaurant, feels partially responsible and offers her a job as his SECRETARY ON DEMAND (2) and a part-time babysitter to his daughter. But his plans don't stop there. While Cathy Williams does a great job of maintaining the readers' interest, the hero appears too manipulative and paternal, and the immature heroine going along too easily with his plans. At times their bond mirrors the dynamics of a father/daughter relationship.
