When Nick Lancaster travels from New York to Summer Island, Canada, to research a biography on a famous murdered singer, he deliberately books himself into a BandB owned by one of the dead star's best friends. Jennifer March is angry when she learns why Nick is really there, but he convinces her that his attraction to her has nothing to do with her former friend. In Secrets Between Them (4), C.J. Carmichael does a great job exploring what can happen to friendships when secrets abound. Her characters have depth and spring to life fully formed.
