What a fantastic follow-up to Bowman’s dynamic debut as she delivers an enchanting, smart romance that shines with laugh-out-loud humor, delectable dialogue, smart prose, wit and wisdom. This entertaining and highly satisfying romp is a pure joy and delight to read.

With her sister on her honeymoon, Annie Andrews seizes the opportunity to run off with the man of her dreams. Unfortunately, her sister asks Jordan Holloway, Earl of Ashbourne, to keep an eye on her. It seems everywhere she turns her “guardian” appears out of nowhere to thwart her plans. Jordan finds Annie’s escapades somewhat amusing, but soon he takes matters into his own hands by bringing her to his country estate. She turns his world upside down and his house into a home. Now, Jordan has no idea what to do with the minx but to kiss her. Falling in love with the woman he’s honor-bound to protect causes one problem after another, but with a woman like Annie it’s worth every complication. (ST. MARTIN’S, Apr., 384 pp., $7.99)
