When Det. Eve Dallas first gets the call about a woman falling from a building, there is question as to if this case is a suicide rather than murder. However, Eve and her trusty aide Peabody determine that it is indeed a homicide. Apparently Dante fed Bryna a lethal combination of illegal drugs. In Brynas apartment, there are all the signs of seductionis this a fantasy carried too far?

While this first killing may have been an accident, it soon becomes apparent that Dante is gaining an appetite for death. As the body count rises, Eve and her crew race the clock to try and track down this all-too-devious cyber killer.
