When dinosaur-bone hunter Raine Ashaway gets a note from professor Anson McCord that a dinosaur may have been the inspiration for an Aztec god, she's intrigued enough to head to Mexico to meet him. When she finally catches up with him and they set off to search for clues, it turns out they're not the only ones looking. Peggy Nicholson's A Serpent in Turquoise (4.5) is loaded with action. Her descriptions are excellent, including details of Aztec history, and it makes for an interesting and impressive story. Plus, both Raine and Anson are likable, exciting characters. A must-read!
